The Global War on Terror Service Medal honors personnel of the Armed Forces of the United States who distinguished themselves by performing duty in a designated anti-terrorism operation for a period of thirty consecutive days or sixty non-consecutive days of duty. The time requirement is waived for those wounded or killed in the line of duty or otherwise engaged in combat.

This 1.75" coin is minted in the USA from solid bronze, using special deep-relief coining dies, and hand-finished with an antique patina for exceptional quality and detail, then imbued with bold enamel. Die struck out of thicker blanks, this coin will have a substantive feel to it as well. The obverse features the colors of the Global War on Terror Service Medal ribbon and depicts a shield of thirteen vertical bars on an eagle with spread wings, and in the eagle's right claw is an olive branch and in the left claw are three arrows, all surmounted by a terrestrial globe. The reverse has space available for engraving. The coin comes packaged in a polybag with a header card.
