The obverse features the colors of the Kosovo Campaign Medal ribbon and depicts two mountain peaks, with a pass between in references to the Dinaric Alps, the campaign's area of operations, with a sun rising between the peaks and stylized rays projecting upward. The reverse has space available for engraving. The coin comes packaged in a polybag with a header card.
