Humanitarian Service Medal Coin

Awarded for significant service to mankind, the Humanitarian Service Medal is awarded to American active duty heroes who strive to make the world a better place. This challenge coin version of the Humanitarian Service Medal is suitable for display or to be carried as a memento by the recipient or the recipient’s family and comrades-in arms. This coin promotes the significance of the Humanitarian Service Medal and can even be engraved with the honoree’s name and date of award.

The Humanitarian Service Medal honors personnel of the Armed Forces of the United States who distinguished themselves by meritorious direct participation (hands on) in a significant military act or operation of a humanitarian nature, or have rendered a service to mankind. To be awarded the medal the recipient must have been on active duty at the time of the direct participation.

This 1.75" coin is minted in the USA from solid bronze, using special deep-relief coining dies, and hand-finished with an antique patina for exceptional quality and detail, then imbued with bold enamel. Die struck out of thicker blanks, this coin will have a substantive feel to it as well. The obverse features the colors of the Humanitarian Service Medal ribbon and the helping hand depicted on the medal. The reverse has space available for engraving. The coin comes packaged in a polybag with a header card.
